Common side effects when starting disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) like Kesimpta may include:

• Injection site reactions
• Flu-like symptoms
• Headache
• Respiratory infections
• Urinary tract infections
• Back pain

It's important to note that side effects can vary from person to person - what one person experiences mildly, another might feel more intensely. If you experience any of these serious symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately:

• Shortness of breath
• Itchiness or full-body rash
• Swelling of hands or ankles
• Sudden vision problems
• Sudden numbness

Remember to keep your neurology team informed about any side effects you experience, as they can often suggest ways to manage them effectively.

@A MyMSTeam Member, Hmmmm. So that means no DMT for you? Nothing to counteract the pains that MS causes?

Can you be more specific as to WHY?

@A MyMSTeam Member, I am about on my 3rd month with Kesimpta ! I had some dull muscle aches after the first shot, but that was the only side effect. I hope that helps with your decision! Good luck!

I had a bad experience with Kesimpta. I felt worse than ever before. I stopped taking it and request that I go back to Ocrevus. I don't know which medication caused me to have problems with my skin. Other than that, I have been fine. Now, for sone strange reason, I am experiencing chest pain. I am tired of doctor appointments. I need a break from that too. The end of Nov, I will receive another dose of Ocrevus. I pray that I will not have any more problems that will cause a change in medication. I pray for all fighting MS.
