I have the persistent non productive dry cough. I've had it for some time. The cause, heart issues.
I started this with my GP 2022. Ordered a chest xray, clear. So sent me to an ENT he did a scope said I had Acid Reflux, Gerd. Put me on meds. One yr later 2023 I still have cough. 2024 I have a new GP, previous died, new GP orders more blood work, gave me an inhaler, didn't work. Now she says see a Gastro doctor. 2025 Gastro doctor does an Endocyopy and tells me I don't have acid Reflux,Gerd, nothing is wrong with my esphogis not burnt. He suggests the Pulmonary doctor. 3 hr breathing test, all normal range. She gives me another inhaler 2 weeks. No change. Back again she gives me Steroids 2 weeks, No change. She trys another inhaler, no change. December 2025 another chest xray , all clear. No change, so we try a Nasal spray 2 weeks, no change My next appointment March. So which doctor should I see next?
Im sorry maybe look for another doctor just to be sure Denise
I'm currently having sinus issues along with infection without fever and feeling like I'm always choking. Every time I eat or drink it tries to go down the wrong pipe. It's been going on since end of October and I've so far been on 3 steroids and 2 antibiotics. First one was a 10 day and the second was for 21 days. Still have infection, cough and nasal drainage. Getting ready to get 2 CT scans and a barium swallow where I have to eat and drink while I'm doing it. Also getting a full pulmonary function test done, that one is tomorrow. I'm also dealing with tests to find out why and how I had a silent mini-stroke. My recent MRI showed it on it but I don't recall having symptoms.
My neurologist told me nothing in MRI to confirm Pulmonary doctor all Normal Gastro doctor all good. ENT no allergies. Any suggestions?
