I think MyMS Team is reading my mind. Literally I thought to look it up or talk about here, but "butt" was holding me back. I work from home on my own and sit at my computer. Over the last 5 years or so my right buttock hurts. It is not the anus, but the actual BONE. I keep adding pillows on the chair I sit. I just saw an article that mentions, "Piriformis Syndrome". Gosh, I feel validated! Who else has a "pain in the butt"?

Members connected over the shared experience of buttock pain, with many identifying it as sciatica, piriformis syndrome, or tailbone issues often worsened by prolonged sitting at desks. Several members offered practical relief strategies, including using specialized cushions (Purple brand, donut pillows, memory foam), performing glute and sciatic stretches, using tennis balls or massage tools to target tight muscles, standing desks, and taking breaks to walk every hour or two. A recurring theme was the importance of getting properly evaluated by a doctor or physical therapist to rule out underlying causes like spinal misalignment or nerve damage, while celebrating the humor and solidarity that comes from discussing such an awkward but very real MS-related challenge.

@A MyMSTeam Member my Neuro PT told me to grab a tennis ball and sit on it where it hurts and just massage your butt cheek to target the pain which is actually in the hip/back

I have experienced this pain and sitting it the worst thing for it unfortunately. If you are able to get up at least every hour and walk around a bit , it could really help. There are special pillows for tailbone pain/ sciatica that might help you .
