@A MyMSTeam Member. I am so sorry you are going through such a trying time. I would reach out to the ms society or even your husband’s doctor or nurse. They can help you get the help you both need. I know ms can really stress caregivers. You are not being selfish by taking care of yourself. Please reach out to them. They have all the knowledge on who and where to go to get help. I’m keeping you in my prayers. Keep in touch. Let us know how you both are doing.
call the MS Society and ask for help with this..
@A MyMSTeam Member I am sure you don’t mean that and you are just overwhelmed. It is so difficult and demanding to be a caretaker , and I am sure he really loves and appreciates you. How long has he had MS?
Depending on the specific area of his brain that is affected by lesions can make him short tempered, or more easily irritated and he might not be doing it purposely.
Does he have insurance? Maybe you can look into a home health aide. This will help you to have some time for yourself , and for a medical person to evaluate him .Maybe there is medication that he needs that can help him .
I am sorry you are going through this , but if the roles were reversed how would you like him to handle this? Would you want him to give up on you ? There is always hope and things can get better . Do you have a counselor or someone you can speak to ? Take care of yourself 🙏❤️
Diane you just have to step back and take tour mind off if posable, please. People with MS is hard to put up with I know, at times I can't stand myself. But please please stay safe❤️ and don't give up & God bless 🙏 you through everything ❤️
Don't give up on him! It's a lot to process 😩 😪
Do you have someone else that can help? Give you a break.
Does anyone have a partner/spouse who resents you and is really angry because he/she has to do more?
