I have had severe episodes of pain in my arm and hand that wake me up at night and at times wouldn't go away unless I got up and walked around. I also experience severe neck spasms that would occur mostly at night - they were so painful that I couldn't even roll over or adjust my position without a lot of pain. When I described both situations (the hand thing lasted almost three weeks and the neck thing lasted for a week), my neurologist right away said 'this is not caused by MS - it is probably a pinched nerve'. However, I never experienced this before my first 'flare' and hospital stay which led to my diagnosis. Thoughts anyone?
