My case is a little different from others. My primary care doctor sent me for an MRI to rule out a brain aneurism causing the problems I was having. MS was no where in this discussion. On the way home from having the MRI he called and told me they found a lesion, still no mention of MS. He made me an appointment with the neurologist in the clinic's office for the next day. The neurologist told me I probably had MS but he could not tell without further tests. I did not have those tests. About a year later he moved away and I started seeing an MS specialist. She told me on my first visit that I had MS that she could tell by my MRI.

Still waiting. I finally had a dr who listened and ordered an MRI which they have rescheduled twice. And my dr left the practice.

Long story short I went into the ER to get a CT scan because I just quit smoking a few months before and my chiropractor wanted a CT before he would adjust me. He was worried about blood clots. So 9 hours later I walked out of the ER with a Dx of MS and a referral to a neurologist.

I was stricken with numbness from head to toe, sternum to spine on my right side on 3/27/04. I remember the time and day because I was on a National Board and I had just checked into the Hotel in Las Vegas for an 8-day stay for Board meetings and National Symposium. I was surrounded by medical professionals as Advocates and Professionals. The Ed's husband recommended a local ER of which I did seek assistance from the first two nights. After returning home my GP performed many tests but I was not dx’d until 4/07/05 with RRMS. The numbness did eventually wear off and feeling roaringly returned in 10/14.
