Members offered advice for a partner with SPMS who is experiencing fatigue and poor sleep, with several suggesting natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, GABA, L-theanine, and passionflower as gentle options to explore. A few members also shared personal experience with hemp gummies and medical cannabis oil, noting they helped with falling asleep and reducing nighttime pain. A recurring theme was the importance of speaking with a neurologist, and members offered warm encouragement while waiting for an upcoming appointment.

There's lots of natural sleep agents you can try Darren4's suggestion of melatonin which is in the majority of sleep agents, or alone. There's other things such as valerian, gaba, l-theanine, Skull cap, passion flower , sleep chocolate, patches, sleep drink amongst many other things; some have melatonin some do not. Hopefully you'll find one that will help you to sleep and your partner also.

I take medical cannabis oil, helps me to fall asleep. I still wake but less often. Still up early mornings. I listen to audio books or podcasts when I wake in the night.

I assume the 8 cups of coffee is causing the lack of sleep. Discuss this with their neurologist and see what they suggest 😊
