Members chimed in with helpful personal experiences about tooth replacement options, with many agreeing that implants are the gold standard even though they are costly and take several months to heal. Several members shared that bridges have worked well for them, while others cautioned that bridges can lead to cavities on neighboring teeth, and one member noted the importance of seeing an oral surgeon rather than a general dentist for extractions and anxiety management. A recurring theme was encouragement to trust your dentist, maintain good oral hygiene, and not feel vain about wanting to replace a visible tooth.

I had a tooth pulled recently and had to have two shots of novocaine because I could feel him cutting it up since he did it in pieces. Mine was way in the back on the upper right side so I didn't replace it. I recommend going to an oral surgeon and NOT just a dentist. Specialists know exactly what they're doing. If you have anxiety, they are wonderful at handling that. Implants are expensive and the best way to go; however, it takes approximately 2-3 months for the whole procedure and healing. Good luck to you.

Hi Tiffany! Sorry for you having to go through these tough decisions! I had Bridges done in the past that did not last as I developped cavities on the teeth adjacent to the Bridges! Root Canals are always recommended at first but that is OK if you don't have an abcess but then the problem with that is when the tooth is dead it gets brittle and does not last. The best is definitely Implants! I have had two done in the past with a Specialist who only did Implants. I know they are expensive and take time to heal before they put the tooth in place but they are sure worth every penny! You have to have extremely good Oral Hygiene not for just a good healing process but also for the rest of your body! I have made this routine part of my daily regimen and I understand how important it is for my Immunity as well with MS! Good Luck to you in making the right decision! I hope this helps you Tiffany!

Tiffany yes everything has been good today. I just ordered a cooling vest and a neck wrap with 12 extra cooling packs. Supposed to be here in 2 to 3 days. So happy to get this in the process.
So how was your day? Good I hope
