Shawnta you should get on disability. It is not near as hard as it used to b 34yrs ago. You should call a disability attorney in your area. They don't charge you and will help you file. I hope this was helpful.🙏
Yes, after being told more than once by my complex case manager i had to finally agree. It took alot of stress off of my mind because I was stressing about going back to work. Now I'm realizing that's not a very realistic goal. And what's the point really? I probably would have hated it and disappointed upper management anyway. And i dont get my sense of worth from my occupation.
So after a long drawn out game of cat and mouse I took the severance package the company offered.
I was referred to a ssdi attorney thru the national multiple schlorosis society. My parents were gracious enough to offer to move to their house while I continue rehab and go through the process.
It's not ideal but I try to be thankful more than anything these days.
