I went to college and got my B.B.A. and my MBA. I only could work for five years. Is a difficult decision to make? You bet it is probaly the hardest and I find on my anniversary date that I had to go out, which was 6/01/02, I get very depressed. You have to look at as God has a plan for you. We try to live our plan and it doesn't ever workout. You have to be thankful for what you got. You do not have a terminal disease. It is disease that medicine has come along way and my saying is stress kills. You just have to get through each wave of MS and enjoy life the reet of the time. I am a stay at home dad, I just happen to have MS.

IF you have long term disability insurance at your work...take it!! Then who ever your carrier is will get on Social Security Disability. Their lawyers will see to it and the will only get a small cut of back pay. Sign up for SSD asap so the paperwork can be
get getting turned down...IF you have long term disability at work....they WILL get you approved. That's what I did.

You can get a lawyer and make them accommodate you. It sounds like to me that you can't perform your position as written. You can take the short-term disability and move to long-term disability. You will still have your medical benefits I do believe. Just telling you what I think I would do and be happy. It is really not a bad thing. Or if you have something you want to give this company you should look to move positions inside the company. A position that suites you more with your hearing loss. I hope this helps. Ive talked to several people, and am told I cant be put on disability as long as I work. My job is making my condition worse. I was recently diagnosed with 12 new lesions on my brain in the last year. If I cant work, I loose my benefits which pays my medical bills. Ill also have no income to keep my home. Also, If I cannot pay my child support, NYS said they can put me in jail.(They threatened last time I fell behind.)Right now I am working 2 jobs and spend my free time in the hospital. I've talked to 2 lawyers all ready and have been denied already.

I filed for disability in july 2012 and was approved in February 2013. It's hard to survive on such a small amount that i am getting. very grateful, but i am going to vocational rehab to see if i can find part time work to supplement my SS. a job that will accomodate my disability, i was a waitress. can't do that anymore :(
