Mayzent (siponimod) has shown some meaningful results in clinical trials. Here's what the research found:
- It reduced the risk of worsening disability by 21 percent
- It reduced the risk of relapses by 55 percent
These are encouraging numbers, though results can vary from person to person. It's worth knowing that improvements aren't always something you *feel* right away. Sometimes the biggest win is stability — fewer relapses, no new lesions, and slower progression. That can be harder to notice day-to-day but is still very meaningful.
Your neurologist will typically track effectiveness through:
- MRI scans to check for new or active lesions
- Relapse frequency compared to before starting treatment
- Disability progression using standardized scales
Keeping open communication with your neurologist about any changes — good or bad — is really important to make sure Mayzent is the right fit for you.
