I had 2 pairs of Croc sandals, They did not look the Crocs people usually see. They lasted quite a few years. Last year I bought a pair that were very similar to the Crocs but not as expensive. But I only wear them in the house. Outside the house I feel much more stable with my shoes on

Finding the right sandals or flip-flops when dealing with foot numbness from MS can be tricky, but there are some key features to look for rather than one specific brand being the go-to answer.
When shopping, prioritize these features:
- Arch and heel support β Look for built-in arch support and a firm heel cup
- Cushioned soles β Extra padding helps absorb impact and reduce discomfort
- Low to moderate heel β Avoid very flat or very high options
- Secure fit β Avoid styles that are too loose, as they can increase fall risk
- Non-slip soles β Good traction is essential to prevent slipping
Some well-regarded brands known for supportive sandals include Vionic, Birkenstock, OOFOS, and Orthofeet β all of which offer strong arch support and cushioning.
One MyMSTeam member mentioned that removing their shoe while driving helped them feel the pedals better, which shows how much footwear can impact daily MS management.
It's always a good idea to consult a podiatrist or orthotist for personalized recommendations, especially if numbness is significant. They can help find the best fit for your specific needs. π
