I do ‘get’ that people don’t always as want to share their particular story and that is clearly up to them. But………..
……..this is MULTIPLE Sclerosis and we all have travelled a different road that has led us here. We all learn and benefit from what we SHARE with each other. Some of us have found things that work for us in our daily battles with this monster. When you share a little about your journey, often one of your teammates can reach out to you and offer some advice that has helped them deal with similar issues.
For instance, in the 27 years of my MS journey, my walking has diminished from an occasional foot drop to needing a walking stick as a 3rd point of contact, to now in which I need to use a Rollator almost full time. So while I am not a good walker, I have found that the Swimming Pool is my best friend! In the pool, I generally swim 1800 yards 3-4 times a week. I swim mainly freestyle and breast stroke.
Q) Why do I love the pool?
A1) I have full range of motion
A2) I have never fallen down in the pool.
🤪😂😎
I, as a relatively long time MyMsTeam member, always reach back to folks that have added me to their teem and encourage them (usually they are brand new to the site) to share their journey and picture so to make their screen name a little more personal. I sincerely hope that others find encouragement from my little victory in the swimming pool enough to try it for themselves!
To recap…..
1) I have never fallen down in the pool
2) the regular cardio workout I get from swimming keeps my sleep pattern in a good place!!!
3) can’t run, let alone walk, but can do a mile in the pool!!!!&
@A MyMSTeam Member has stepped of his soapbox!!
I shared my story and would be happy to answer any questions if you have any??
I'm not sure if I filled out a story or not. I think I started to but lately, I'm getting more and more concerned with sharing personal details online. AI is a great tool for people like me who do tech work (and lots of other uses as well) but one drawback is that scams are getting exponentially better so I'm a lot more careful about sharing personal details that could be used for phishing or other scams.
@A MyMSTeam Member thanks for speaking up, you're right that the more information shared the better no matter how obscure it may sound.
For sum is it difficult we need to a knowledge this and be sensitive
