These mechanisms are heavily studied in the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) animal model of MS, where injecting specific myelin peptides reliably induces disease-like symptoms. Epitope spreading (the immune response broadening to more peptides over time) also complicates the picture.

I use Glatiramir acetate again. It's 4 amino acids

alanine, glutamic acid, lysine, and tyrosine—in ratios designed to mimic MBP.
