For most of my adult life (49 yo F), I have had a weird thing with my left ear. The outside of the ear will sometimes get bright red, painful, and hot. It usually lasts a few hours. The pain is never on the inside, only the outer cartilage part of the ear. It only happens with my left ear and sometimes the pain gets so bad it wakes me up at night. Anyone else deal with this issue? My doctor says it’s very rare and could be MS-related.
