If you have some of your content sites, like YouTube, set to autoplay, then any content shared from there on here will also autoplay. I have run into this before and have made an effort to turn OFF autoplay on all of the Internet content providers I use. Because people playing there content is how services make money sometimes getting these turned off can be challenging (perhaps intentionally?)
No, I've never had one that just automatically starts playing. Check your settings and see if you have auto-play on with permissions.
