Members responded to the question about UC and Crohn's disease by sharing their own experiences with a wide range of gut and digestive conditions, including Crohn's, microscopic colitis, gastritis, GERD, ulcers, and lymphocytic colitis, with many noting a connection between MS and internal inflammation. Several members shared practical tips that help them manage symptoms, such as taking probiotics and omeprazole, staying well hydrated, avoiding soy and dairy, reading food labels carefully, and experimenting with medication timing to reduce side effects. A recurring theme was the importance of working closely with doctors while also advocating for yourself and paying close attention to what your body needs.

Besides Nan, soy and/or dairy can be the culprits behind pain and inflammation.

My niece called me from the ER having a painful colitis attack. She found out she was allergic to all soy products and dairy. There are so many products that have some sort of soy in it that she has learned how to read labels. When going to a movie theater she doesnโ€™t get butter on her popcorn as it is soy plus the popcorn is popped with soy oil.
