I came off this spray about 6 months ago, it was really effective for spasms, sleep and relaxation.

At the time my mental health wasnt great and I felt that the CBD properties were making it worse.

Having tried a new mediation (Tizantadine) 6mg instead, ive found that it isnt helpful at all. So im thinking about going back on the sprays.

Has anyone else tried this? And if so did you have any side effects.

Xx

It's great that you're reflecting on what's worked best for you β€” and it sounds like Sativex made a real difference for your spasms, sleep, and relaxation. You're not alone in exploring this path.

It's great that you're reflecting on what's worked best for you β€” and it sounds like Sativex made a real difference for your spasms, sleep, and relaxation. You're not alone in exploring this path.

Sativex is a cannabis-based oromucosal spray that has been licensed in several countries specifically for MS-related spasticity. It has also been studied for effects on:

- Chronic pain
- Sleep disturbance
- Bladder symptoms
- Tremor Regarding side effects, most people don't experience serious ones, but some worth knowing about include:

- Dry mouth
- Diarrhea
- Reduced appetite
- Drowsiness
- Fatigue
- Possible interactions with other medications

Given your previous experience with mental health concerns while using it, this is something really worth discussing openly with your neurologist before restarting. CBD can affect people differently, and your doctor can help weigh the benefits against any risks specific to your situation. A MyMSTeam member shared that THC affected their sleep pattern and gave them a "high" feeling, while others found CBD-based options helpful for pain and spasms. Everyone's experience is different, so having that honest conversation with your neurologist is the best next step. πŸ’™
