Members responded warmly to the question about belief in the Holy Spirit, with many sharing personal faith, gratitude, and the comfort their beliefs bring them while living with MS. Several members openly shared doubts or non-belief, and a recurring theme was mutual respect, with believers and non-believers alike affirming that differing views were welcomed and valued. The thread became a space of emotional support where members encouraged one another to stay strong, regardless of personal faith.

Okay, I'll buck the trend here and say no, I absolutely do not believe in that. Religion is just something that came about many years ago when human brains were powerful enough to question our own existence but before there was scientific evidence and understanding of evolution. I find it quite interesting that, while religion was very popular here in UK in years gone by, church attendance has dropped dramatically nowadays. USA, by contrast, is still very religious and atheists are in the minority.
If people want to believe in a god and get some level of comfort from it, that's fine with me but I get my satisfaction from marveling at how flowers and bees evolved together but dependent on each other for the last 80 million years. When you look at how much life there is in this world, either plants, animals, insects, fungi, bacteria or whatever compared to what the surface of other nearby planets is like, I find four billion years of evolution of life on our planet endlessly staggering, beautiful and fascinating. πŸ₯°
