Many community members shared how they are cutting back on Christmas spending while managing the financial strain of living with MS. Popular strategies included doing gift exchanges or grab bags for adults while focusing only on children, buying items off-season when prices are low, giving homemade gifts, setting spending limits, and using gift cards or small thoughtful items. A recurring theme was shifting the focus of the holidays away from gifts and toward time together, faith, and fellowship as a way to find peace and joy despite tight budgets.

@A MyMSTeam Member I agree with you, seeing Christmas ads on TV before it's even Halloween πŸŽƒ is really irritating.

@ @A MyMSTeam Member. @A MyMSTeam Member my family only buys for the kids. For the adults, we put everyone name in hat (so to speak) and pull names of the person you will buy a gift for. And also we set a spending amount on the price of the gift. We have been during this for years.

I get one or 2 presents to go under the tree and then some stocking stuffers. I start shopping early in the year when I have some money or there is a sale.
