Rain, snow, or cloudy is were I find my MS acting up. My right leg get weak. I stumble around like I am drunk. Sometimes have trouble completing my thoughts. I have balance issues too. Need to use my cane, walker, or scooter. When the day is sunny and the weather is nice I have no problems. kind of weird to me. Was wondering if someone else has the weather effecting them too?
I hibernate in the summer. Arkansas summers are brutal. I also feel more tired when there are big barometer changes.
Here in TX, winter was hot and cold up and down with no balance of anything. Now we are in triple digits! Yeah, the weather really does a job on me too! Hot or cold, it doesn't make much of a difference, but the heat is definitely worse than the cold!
heat big problem for me,try to stay cool and hydrated
I hide inside with an a/c during the summer. Texas heat is unbearable! In the winter, I stay inside as much as I can. The cold affects me, too. But the weather we have had here lately.....Freezing cold one or two days a week, then almost up to and over 90 a few days a week...all in the SAME week! at least one cold front a week knocking the temps down to almost freezing and below! Every time the weather changes, yes, M.S. acts up. My walking, balance, numbness in my hands and arms, it all starts going crazy again! So far this year, I have been able to stay out of the hospital, though, so I am good!
Any extreme temp change affects my MS symptoms. I have to use my walker more often here in AR and have more flares than I want. But when we lived in Dallas, I rarely had to use the walker and only had two flares. Thinking seriously about moving back to TX. Glad it's not just me.
