@A MyMSTeam Member that's a pretty low ANA. I currently have lupus and my current ANA is 1:1250 and when I was first diagnosed 2 yrs ago it was 1:650. They test for Lupus through bloodwork and your symptoms. I'm currently not diagnosed with MS but I'm here because I'm wondering if I have MS as well. My aunt has a severe case of MS. I see my neurologist tomorrow for all of my symptoms
I have definitely heard of people being diagnosed with both and being diagnosed with one autoimmune condition greatly increases your chances of being diagnosed with another.
I was tested for lupus when I first got sick but not lately. The Doctors have told me possible MS but I know I have it. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2003 but there are way too many symptoms of MS for me to have fibro but I also know people who have MS and have been diagnosed with fibro and etc so I would say it is possible.
Both of my sisters have Lupus and so my neurologist had me tested just to make sure we have a complete picture of what I'm dealing with. Lupus test came back negative for me. I kept telling my family that my symptoms really are all MS and not Lupus as well. . .turned out I was right! :-)
I hope you get good news from your tests as well!
Hey, I'm here for the same reason... I have been diagnosed Lupus but have symptoms that lean towards MS. How did you get on at neuro appt?
