My first episode was 19yrs ago but not dx'ed time 2013. MRI shows 10 lesions but none active. I keep getting new symptoms & don't understand how that happens??

Could it be Hidden lesions? Had not heard of them until I visited my nero ( new one) who told me of them. MRI does not always pick them up.

I had my first attack 19 yrs ago but was not diagnosed till this past sept so there are no mri's. I have 10 lesions but have only noticed the attacks 19yrs ago & one this past august. So i don't have anything to compare it to:(

They can be recurrences of past symptoms. It is also hard to say when you might have an active lesion between MRI's. If you look at your MRI history, do the lesions increase in number in between?
