Has anyone experienced sudden & severe eye pain from out of the blue? The feeling is like if a muscle snapped behind the eye???

Hi again.. I had the same things @perfectly_imperfect had and that was after about 6 months of not having treatment. I was in a new town with no insurance and there was a 4 month wait to see a neurologist. I did meet an MS specialist during a MS Society dinner/conference and the Dr. took me in right away without the waiting period. She was the one that prescribed the 5 day solumedrol IV and the 5 days prednisone* taper.

My vision has improved dramatically but on occasions I do have that aching feeling and on really bad days blurry vision. Hopefully now that I am back on tysabri it will get better eventually.

Optic neuritis was my first symptom & your description is spot on. Solumederal IV took care of that. Don't let it go long without treatment. I withstood it for several months & I lost some vision & some color from my vision.

Eye pain can be an early start to Optic Neuritis. I had a sever case of ON 15 years ago. And I also started getting pain on the same eye that was affected 15 years ago. 5 days of solumedrol and pretension taper prevented me from losing my vision again. I still get this aching feeling on the eye though.

On the subject involving the eye, I've not had sever pain but, been having a feeling like an eyelash or something is in my eye. I am wondering if it has anything to do with MS.

Yes, this just happened the other day, & has been sporadic in the past.
