I am just taking a poll of folks like me with MS to see if you experience being slow to respond to things sometimes ? I am in a decicion making role in my career and am noticing that I am not just forgetful, but sometimes seem to be a step behind in responding to some of my responsibilities at work, at home, at church (I am a deacon)..
Does this make sense and is there anyone else that deals with this ?
I am not natually a procrastinator which is why it concerns me sometimes..
Thoughts ?
I have that problem too. The simplest task or decision takes me forever. I get nervous and frustrated with it. I also have trouble finding the right words at times...almost always the last word in the sentence.
I do this also....it's very frustrating, I try to write things down that I need to know because I forget a lot & need cues to remember sometimes. I also try to explain to people my predicament and hope they understand...
Agreed. It seems to take longer to process what someone has actually said and then respond to it. I guess I have become more pointed and thoughtful in my decision-making. Yeah, that's it! :)
It happens to me a lot and it is very frustrating because what has always been a simple task doesn't seem simple anymore. I find that my cognitive problems are always worse when I am extremely tired!! I have to make myself notes, put reminders on my phone and keep a month by month calendar so I can keep up with what I have done, what I am doing and what I am supposed to do!! Hang in there...you are not alone!!
I have these issues too. I chalked it up to getting older but I have noticed that it is not consistent so maybe not. I am trying to remodel my house and even though financially it is no problem, I am having a hard time even beginning. I can't make a decision to save my life. Very frustrating!
