Periodically I get these sharp, stabbing pains in my head in different areas. They last approximately 1 to 2 seconds but move around in my head. It practically paralyzes me for those few seconds. I have been getting them more frequently lately and was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Strange, very strange.
Tic de la roux - trigeminal neuralgia. Feels like ice pick in ear or burning cinder in ete.
Yes I do get them usually when stressed and tired bofore a flare up let me know if you find out for sure?!!!
I have had these, they hurt & they're scary bc it's our brain. Doesn't seem right having such extreme "zaps" to your head. lol Mine mostly came at nite & most often ended up becoming a pretty bad migraine. That's just what experience.
I get that from time to time too with a burning sensation right at the base of my neck
I call them electrical shocks. my neuro says normal part of MS, although mine seem to be in the areas where MRI shows plaques on brain. I take Gabapentin(Neurontin) and my neuro has increased my dosage to help with the pains. I still have them some, but is better.
