I have been diagnosed with MS for over 20 years and have recently been kept awake by my legs shaking while I'm lying in bed. Does anyone else have this problem?
I take Trazadone to help my insomnia and it has helped me sleep for quite awhile. Recently my legs started shaking at night, keeping me awake in spite of the drug. I have been under extreme stress since Thanksgiving when my husband had a kidney transplant so I thought my MS might be causing the leg tremors.
I've had some luck with Neurontin. My neuro prescribed it for the nightly leg spasms & chronic headaches. Both have greatly diminished since! Stress really triggers the leg spasms.
Have you tried a muscle relaxant before bed? Or a seizure med like keppra that's what they've tried me on cause mine was soo bad it kept me awake n paranoid n so far it's helped
My neuro wanted me to try the drug thing before blaming the MS, so we'll see.
I've been taking baclofen at night for years so I don't thin it is helping. I'm trying to go off of some of the drugs I'm on to see if that is the problem, one at a time.
I take baclofen at night to control my leg spasms, seems to help
