Has anyone been diagnosed with both Fibromyalgia and MS? What are the odds as my neurologist suggested that today and started me on Cymbalta to treat the fibromyalgia I was told I had 13 yrs. ago and wants to do a spinal before treatment for MS I was diagnosed with 2 months ago...really confused and having a flare up for past 2 months. Hurt like hell most of the time but also have good days. Thanks, much appreciated...
Dr thought I had fibromyalgia before found out I had MS.
Yes, I was diagnosed with both. I am also on Cymbalta twice a day. I'm not sure which one causes the most pain. They both suck though.
I too was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago. Then this past year with MS. I couldn't take cymbalta. Made me very depressed. Hope you have good results.
Was diagnosed with both fibromyalgia and MS on the same day by my neurologist, 14 yrs. ago.
I was dx 'd with MS almost two years ago, but recently my passion specialist stated I have fibromyalgia as well. I took lyrica, insurance denied it, so I will start gabapentin soon. My MS hasn't been active since my original dx, but I continued to have pain, fatigue, brain fog, weakness, and numbness, but I guess MS wasn't to blame.
