thanks again its hard to keep faith in the docs

that is my treatment every 3 weeks I go in and have a 1hr infusion but the greatness it dose wares off in a week and I was wondering has any taken the steroid pill after wards. i have never had the solo Medrol the 4 or 5 times for a one time problem.

After I had 5 days of solumedrol in the hospital, my doctor had me take a tapering dose of prednisone when I went home. I started with 10 pills, went down to 9..to 8...until I got to 1/day then stopped. After the 5-day IV and the 10-day taper, he had me stop.
That was a long time ago. I started Avonex in January of 1999 and haven't needed solumedrol or prednisone since.

@A MyMSTeam Member thanks , are you still taking and how long did you take ? I have never had a problem,i would like to know how long I can take from somebody eles, then my doc

I only did solu medrol for flares. I will warn you that all that steroid use will cause you bone loss. You need to take Vit. D and calcium. Not a good idea to use solu medrol to often can cause other problems as well. Good luck.
