Just did my first injection of copaxone. Needle was fine in the leg but after pain was horrible. Is this normal?
Share Solutions (Copaxone) will send out a nurse experienced in these matters, for free of course; and he/she will be loaded with advice.
It got better after a couple of months....just switched to the 3x/week shot though...been on it for a month now....trying to decide if I prefer the daily shot to the new one. Each has it's downfalls.
I was on Copaxone for about 11 years and the pain did get a lot better (lessened) with time. It was horrible at first though. :( I injected in my stomach, hips, and butt a lot and that seemed to help. You also want to make sure the injection is at room temp before you inject.
Be sure to inject in a more "fatty" are rather than muscle. Warm up the shot. Should not hurt so much.
