Because Copaxone is so expensive, I have had to keep my employer's insurance because they pay all but a $25.00 monthly copay. But that insurance costs me $600 a month. I am now also on Medicare, but they (Medicare) won't pay all but a $25 copay so I have to keep the original insurance. I need that $600 every month. If I stop Copaxone, will I go back to how I was before I started it? I also have chronic lymphocytic leukemia AND osteoporosis. Tomorrow I may find out what else is wrong with me… read more
I was on Copaxone for 5 years and was able to qualify for co pay assistance. Definitely worth a phone call.
Yes, the drug companies shoujd be able to help you cover the costs. You shouldnt have to soend your hard earned pension and be broke because you need treatment. Not fair.
I was on Copaxone. I am on Medicare and have BC/BS. The Copaxone paid 100% of my medication. The only hit I took was my yearly deduction on scripts. That turned out to be a blessing. That put me in the "Catastrophic" category and all my medications were on an extremely low co-pay. Speak with the doctor that put you on it. There is paperwork he or she can submit to the company. I know there is help out there for the drug. The company that I worked with was: Shared Solutions. Wish you luck!
I used Copaxone for 6 Months Myself Years ago and I quit and I am doing just fine. I have now been living with R/R MS for over 31 Years now.
Thank you, Rob. I am taking your reply to heart. Truly. That money could be a trip for my grandson and his mom (my daughter) to Disneyland. My furnace gave out this Spring so that money could buy a new one. I've only just begun. I wish I knew what to do. Thank you.
