I did copaxone for 8 months. It was the best choice for me even tho I had to take a shot every day at the time and I hate needles. It is not fun at first but you do get use to it and I have to say I am no longer afraid of needles at all! You may get the flushing they speak of. Make sure you shoot in a different spot each day! Very important. I use to mark mine with a bandaid just so I'd remember. The great thing about copax is that this is one of the dmd's you don't need to take anything before shooting because it doesn't cause any flu like symptoms. I did use the auto inject. You can select the depth of the needle. They have a 24 hour hotline for nurses to help you thru this. Your not alone. You'll do fine!

I had no problem with Copaxone from the start.

I've been on it for four years. At first I found it painful at the site after giving. I found ice packs helped after. Within a couple of months the pain is almost nonexistent. You just have to learn the needle depth to use for each location with the auto inject. I bruise occasionally especially on the arms. Stick with it. It does get better. I had a little itching at first too but not enough for Benadryl.

@A MyMSTeam Member thank you, quite a few other people have said the same thing about the auto inject. My dr. gave me a choice between aubagio and copaxone and after doing some research and asking questions, (even though I'm not too excited about injections) I chose the copaxone. Less side effects. Yes I am doing the 3x a week shots. I appreciate your detailed advice. Thank you again
