Second opinion! Go through the MS Society to find another doctor with MS experience in your area. Sorry thou had to go thru such BS. I was negative from the spinal tap but that is why there are so many tests that neuros do prior to diagnosing MS. I have a friend who was misdiagnosed with MS but her doc was not an ass and didn't give up on her. She was correctly diagnosed with lupus. Please, please find a new doctor. Don't give up because your doctor did. Good luck.

I don't understand what takes them so long to diagnose. Most of us know we have MS,way before they tell us. It's like they would rather we spend a long time wondering "what the heck is wrong with me?" Then when they do tell us it's MS,were so happy to finally officially put a name to it, that we stop bugging them!

i think you need a second and third option from a different neurologist! Maybe a different clinic even!

Have they been treating you for the past ten years? If so, wouldn't that be malpractice?

Unless he wants to run tests to find a diagnosis, I would see someone else.
