does anybody else have evey 30 sec leg spasms ? If so do you know how to control them?
I have had leg spasms for years. The doctor said spasticity was causing mine. Usually at night or after unusual exercise. They feel like someone has whipped them in the morning. Same way my feet felt for years. I have learned to try and put pressure on them by getting out of bed as fast as I can and standing on them. Tramodol has helped some with them. Nobody wants to give me a muscle relaxant anymore. I think they are afraid I will overdose. I did take Baclofin for a while but after it felt like it healed me, the effect slowly stopped and the pains came right back. When my left leg tendon is tightand I can't even stand to sit at the edge of the bed. I just have to get up and try to move my legs with out touching that tendon in the back of the knee.
I get spasms in my legs all the time. It is worse if I don't drink enough water in the day, or if I am overly tired, or overheated, or over stressed, or any other thing that makes my symptoms worse. I use baclofen at night for them so that I can sleep better. This does not get rid of them, but it does seem to allow me to sleep a little better. When they happen they are very painful - sometimes it feels as if my feet will break because of the way that they are twisting with the spasm. I try to breath deeply through it and relax - not at all easy when your foot is twisting like a pretzel - but that does seem to help a little with the pain. I do occasionally drink, but I have not found it especially helpful to stop the spasms.
I have RRMS and I get bad leg spasms at night the doctor put me on baclofin and I think it only works a little I can get to sleep but my boyfriend tells me I kick a lot during the night and Doctor says as long as it doesn't bother me she won't give me anything else
Baclofen is what I was prescribed!
When I worked I swear that 1 drink helped too with my fatigue
