I bought a private LTD policy years ago. I now get paid 60% of my salary before I became disabled enough to interfere with my ability to do my job.

@A MyMSTeam Member I believe it's better to be safe than sorry. If the miracle happens, you can cancel it which would be a great thing! I had a friend with another disease that forced her to stop working. Because she waited til she couldn't work to buy it, she was denied ltd coverage b/c she made a claim too soon. You can't make a claim during the first twelve months after you buy the policy.
