Thanks for a bit of humor! I've tried to think of some urology jokes (did you hear about the guy in the bar who blah blah blah?) but these guys have heard them all. My urologist did grin and volunteer the actual act of sexual intercourse only takes a couple of minutes to complete. That was comforting because I thought I was outside the Bell Curve and he felt compelled to reassure me of a fact of life. Uh huh.
When traveling on lengthy flights I use a Foley that is good for 6+ hours of care-free bladder splatter.
The bad news is you'll likely get a UTI. I had four people showing me how to use a Foley (doc, 2 nurses, tech) plus spouse in background supervising. It was a hoot. Thanks.

@Fishhead.... LOL Been there! You must be talking about the cath and sitting on the toilet with a camera as they fill your bladder and wait for you to pee! Well, they filled my bladder all right..... It wouldn't come out! They came back 15 minutes.... Still couldn't go. Danced around the room.... Finally after a half hour they gave up removed the cath. Met with urologist! "Well, I don't see anything wrong". Really!!!!! That was a few years ago. No real problems in a while, I was leaking. But recently I've had bad urgency to have to go. Problem is, A teacher can't just walk out of the room to use the restroom! I run between bells!.

OK, I go to rehab at a senior care facility for continued therapy with a top shelf PT. Exercises are going well. There is hope. She asks me about the Kegel's. No problem, let me confirm one. Uh, nothing happened. Now I am exercising that region, too, for hopeful response. Somehow that one got away from me but a sharp therapist got me back on track.

Urine retention was diagnosed during urodynamic testing and following second urodynamics went to cathing four times daily. The idea is to save the kidney's at all costs. A CT scan of the urinary tract is also a good plan to keep you healthy. Don't forget the cysto, a painless procedure that takes maybe a minute to perform. Blood in the urine should always be checked to identify the problem. Good luck to you.
