Could this horrible hot flushing that washes over me 10-12 times a day be from MS. I'm 58 and supposedly through Menopause. I'm starting to feel a panic with it as well. This extreme hot and cold can't be good for my body.
Since being diagnosed with MS, I have avoided submerging in either hot or cold as it was suggested I don't. I will use a heating pad and cold pak for other reasons mostly pain, muscle aches but not one to sit in a tub or go into a pool or ocean or hot sauna now, even for healthy folks those bubbling saunas aren't good for you after about 15 min. there are warning signs usually near them. I even hate to admit this but I dont exercise hard because I don't want to over heat my body and raise my core temp for fear it will bring on an exacerbation. It's not that great and I am overweight but I'm still walking un-aided and working fulltime. I'm Blessed.
@A MyMSTeam Member As CoolLioness said.... Don't ever get into a hot tub again! I am surprised your doc didn't tell you that!
the one thing my neuro said to me at time of diagnosis, was NO HOT TUBS. It will make symptoms
worse.
I have found the cooling towels on the back of your neck will help with hot tubs . Hope this helps
@A MyMSTeam Member, LMAO.... "puter" Sorry to hear you don't trust your "puter"! I felt like that when I was younger! Wink!
