I have interstitial cystitis and I get UTIs, but I am not sure MS is the cause for me. Cystitis is another autio-immune issue, and what I do is make sure I balance acid/alkaline in my diet. The acid is good for killing bacteria, but it can irritate my bladder which isn't helpful for the cystitiis. My cystitis is soothed by a more alkaline diet, so I drink club soda and I will add 1/2 t of baking soda to any drinks that are acidic. I also take a liquid mineral supplement as many of our food have had minerals processed out of them.
I use cranberry supplements that I get at Costco.
I think absolutely if your on a medicine for incontinence, be sure to drink cranberry juice and be sure to talk to your doctor.
I drink water all day long just to keep the bladder flushed.
Yes, my Neuro said because your bladder may not always get the signals it should you may not be completely emptying your bladder which can lead to UTIs
