My neuro suggested starting me on this and I wanted to know if anyone has found it helpful or not. I've read about the side effects and I'm not really worried about them. They seem fairly easy to tolerate (after the MS symptoms). I just wanted to know if anyone taking Abagio has any improvement or not.
Aubagio is not intended to ease symptoms but rather serves to halt enzyme production thereby stopping the number of T cells and B cells from breaking the blood brain barrier. Yea less inflamation! The higher dose - 14mg has also been able to slow the progression of MS. This little once a day pill packs a much needed punch to the enemy.
I have been on Aubagio since 12/2014. I have not noticed any symptom improvement (but wasn't expecting any either). No side effects really, little nausea when I was taking it in the morning but switched it to bedtime and that's much better.
Hope that helps :-)
Can anyone tell me what to expect with
Abagio
And betaseron ... side effects any info. Also can you drink while on them? Just trying to collect as much info as possible thank you
Never tried it Kaiser is slowing at giving peals they want to show you just can't tolerate an injection first (allergy...)
I have been on it for I think 1.5 years. Can't say I have any improvement on symptoms but no new lesions. I also don't have side effects, other than maybe diarrhea/regular stools but I was constipated before so for the most part things worked out well for me.
