I have a question that I need answers to. I get this "event" often. I'll try to describe it and tell you more. I know it's starting because I get a sign. the sign is that I fee a beat or pulse in my right ear. Then my vision starts to get "wavy" (can't explain this) Then at the same time my left arm starts to feel heavy, tingly, throbby. This lasts about 1 hour every single t ime. It's debilitating cause I cant focus clearly. I'm a teacher and thankfully on summer vacation right now. But it has… read more

Hi, I was so disappointed to read this post was from 2 years ago because I actually searched "wavy vision" -- because I'm having it right now.

Imagine my surprise when I read this post and it mentioned the thumping in the right ear... I just had the right ear thumping a few hours ago! I thought "Huh, I haven't had that in a really long time."

Then the wavy vision started. It makes far away objects appear to wiggle. (This doesn't sound spooky until you look at stuffed animals and their legs and arms start moving... Yikes!)

I know what is meant by the heavy left arm too... it's the same feeling as if you've slept on it wrong and cut off the circulation, and the sparkly sensations have not even started yet because the arm is so "asleep".

So this is VERY weird to have the right ear thumping + wavy vision + dead left arm -- in that order! What if this is a heart condition or...? Are we sure it's MS??

I get crazy neurological symptoms. Feel like I have stuck my finger in a light socket, numbness pins and needles, twitching, vision issues, vision pain, heavy left arm, etc. some symptoms don't ever really go away. Some come and go with no regularity or pattern to them. I think you are doing the right thing to rule out other scary things- but for me, it's always my MS.

I feel the beat or pulse in my ear too. But that is the only symptom I have like yours. Hope you find something to help it. Sending Hug.
