I answered the questions very thoroughly. I waited 8 months then the SSA sent me to see one of their doctors, which was a joke. To my surprise I was awarded on the first try without a lawyer. Answer the questions in relation to your worst days. Explain/back up what you say and how much it impacts not only your work life but personal life as well. Good luck to you!

I seen my lawyer paid 300 he advised me to get letter from doctor and fax to my job and don't go back to work. Went on company disability. Then applyed fo disabilty. Having MS Nero disease took me two months to get checks and Medicare. If can de any help let me know.

I'm on SSD and I did get a lawyer. I only had to apply once and it took 8 months. There are lawyers that deal with MS and other disabilities. You have a better chance of getting approved if you have a lawyer otherwise you have to wait awhile to apply again. That is how it is in Michigan. Good luck:)

I'll be honest with you. I own a company. So while I don't work in s office anymore, I do collect sizable capital gains checks quarterly. I drive by the properties the company owns once a week or so just to feel like I'm earning my pay. But I really don't work!

If you apply for SSDI while still working you will be denied. It took me approximately one year after I left work to be approved. I did use a lawyer. I've come to look on disability retirement as a blessing. While I don't have enough energy to work a full or part time job I do have enough energy to do things I couldn't while I was working. I have been able to attend seminars and retreats and do other things.
