I've been known for being an "accident prone" all of my life, so I'm used to getting random cuts and scrapes. But every since I've been diagnosed, I seem to bruise really easy. I can do something as simple as carrying a textbook in my arms, and all of a sudden I get a bruise. Sometimes the bruise is not really noticeable, but the area around it is tender and sensitive. Does anyone else experience this?
I have been naturally graceful for years. I've always bruised easily. Always was iron anemic until July 2012 when a doctor thought to test my B12 levels. Pernicious Anemia was causing my iron anemia. You should get your iron checked. Start there.
I never bruised before MS. Now a bruise will show up and I don't remember hitting that spot! Needless to say my body can be very colorful!
Also, in case you didn't know, witch hazel (comes in a bottle near rubbing alcohol and peroxide) will take a lot of the hurt away from the bruising both internally and externally.
I bruise easily. But also, having areas that feel like a bruise but never appear as a bruise is indicative of fibromyalgia. So get your iron check as recommended above and also ask about it being possible fibro.
Ibuprofen can lead to bruising easier.
Lol @A MyMSTeam Member, Taurus's are rather clumsy
