I have decided tonight that I am going to stop taking techfidera. The side effects are making a huge impact on my life ex: hair loss, can't focus, headaches, insomnia, diarrhea, itching. As anyone come off techfidera and if so how did you do it and what were the side effects from stopping? Did any one start gylenal after?
Severe GI issues! In so much pain and high fevers bad! Throwing up, gained weight etc .... Hated it! Also made me feel weird kind of like in a depression then once I stopped it was back to my normal self thank god!
Tecfidera was terrible!! I had to stop because I had severe side effects! Ended up also in the hospital because of them... I stopped taking them and it wares off in a week or so! I am not on Copaxone and so far thank god I have not experienced anythint crazy like tecfidera! Best of luck!
I may have had some hair loss, but it was the stomach upset that was the worst part and I noticed the most. It all passed for me, though, and I don't have any problems now. That said, every person responds to medications differently. That said, you should work through this with the healthcare providers. They can let you know if something is temporary and help you with long term planning. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Hang in there!
What did you experience? Once I stopped I felt normal again!
