I really can't stand loud music or anything else which is loud is everybody else the same or is it just me
In the past few years I've developed an aversion to loud noises: leaf blowers, the dishwasher, the shower fan. I recently read this is common and may be due to brain changes and information processing distractions.
I'm the same with music, TV, people, etc. My vision isn't the best so I always thought it was just the body compensating. I have even realized I talk quieter than I use to. Probably because I don't want a loud response.
Me too, though audio symptoms can vary, MS's audio effects on hearing are no fun, I have considered buying noise cancellation headphones, but first I gotta get that Jaguar! I listen to soft jazz, music, as a balance & part of visualizing healing meditation.....
My neuro told me that there is a filter, of sorts, in your brain for hearing. If that's damaged, you may have more sensitivity to noises.
loud music ... everyone talking at once .... gets to be just 'noise' ... it actually exhausts someone with MS .. our mind is shifting ... I try to avoid these situations ... but, at times, I do go (to football games, or bowling) ... because I need to work on getting out of my own world and socialize.
