Does anybody receive financial assistance to stay in your home in lieu of going into a nursing home?
Doing battle with Pennsylvania over denial of benefits available via Medial Assistance and Home and Community Based-Based Services (MA/HCBS). I qualify to go into a nursing home to the tune of $8,500 per month from medicaid but the state won't grant me the $1,500 I need to cover the part-time cast of my caregivers so that I can stay in my home. I intend to appeal this all the way to the supreme court. You may see me picketing on the news when the weather gets better.

Look up attorneys who do nothing but disability cases. They get paid only if they win. Depending on your case, it doesn't cost a dime. They take their percentage out of the money that is awarded to you.
I empathize with your situation, but until insurance company execs stop playing doctor and political bureaucrats side with the common people, I fear that this situation will be status duo.
i to wonder these things,no matter what we do stress finds a way in.All i can say is if you have a petition i will certainly sign it.
I have had in home care therapy before insurance paid
The day will come when I may need home health care or assisted living.
I wish you well and wish that didn't have to work so hard to get assistance
from your state. Your 'post' has reminded me about what I would need to try to get assistance from NJ and/or the federal gov't.
