Sometimes when I read I see a word that do not make sense, for example I saw a sign on the side of the road where it said "transvestite" so on the way back I decide to check for the sign it was there alright but after spelling the word I realize it said "traversier" (ferry in french), not exactly the same... Does anyone as the same symptom??? Thank you

Members connected warmly over the relatable experience of misreading words as a symptom of MS, reassuring the person who posted that they are far from alone. Several members shared funny examples of their own mix-ups, while also noting that the symptom often gets worse with fatigue, whether physical, mental, or emotional. A recurring theme was the importance of laughter and staying positive as a way to cope with the challenges of living with MS.

13 years ago, after the double vision subsided I had mass confusion and would get lost driving home because I didn't recognize any of the street names. It went away eventually but I still get confused sometimes. For me it was MS. Chin up! Glad you can see the humor in it, that's a good thing.

Keep laughing because it seems thats half the battle with this monster. Stay positive and laugh when you can. That's a healthy way to fight this disease. Please try to be happy.

Oh boy, do I relate! I'm always reading way too fast and skip over some of the main things. Then get into a fight because I read it too quickly.... Hang in there!

That comes with age. We start over thinking at about age 35, and it just gets worse. I have only noticed about a 1% increase per year for me, which people without MS increase at a rate of 2-3% a year. Yes I know, useless trivial information, when not doing well or board, I read a lot. Some useful, some not so much.

I think my favorite is Chouteau in Kansas City. People seldom get that one figured out or even attempt it. It is pronounced Show-Tow. But in passing you would not believe how many wrong ones come out, including Stripclub.
