In the winter I don't like the thermostat over 73 Degrees and it irritates me when I go to businesses and the heat is turned up high. How do you cope and how does your family feel about the temperature in the home?
Heat sensitivity has been one my biggest problems, it just makes everything else worse. If I am at home and I get to hot and don't want make everyone else uncomfortable. I go in my room shut the door and put a tank top and shorts on just lay across my bed with a fan on me until I cool down. As far as businesses....it depends....some times I just leave, I have even spoke to a manager and let them know it was way to hot in there, it just depends. I have found always having a bottle of water and I pack a ziplock bag with ice and a wash cloth in it to wipe around my neck to help cool down.
layers, I walk around my house in a tank top and shorts my husband is always cold, when I go out I dress in layers and always carry a fold up fan with me even in the winter
I bought neck rolls that are filled with beads that expand in water, they get bigger and hold water, Once expanded it's big and fat, I usually do two at a time in a bowl of water in the refrigerator. Wear one until it gets warm, and exchange. Also got ones that you wet and snap to activate cooling.
@A MyMSTeam Member hopefully you don't find out how bad it can get. the cooling vest works great for a couple hr's or use a dish towel wet and move back and forth on back side of neck
Hi Faith. I have had to do that many times myself. Not fun. I dread going anywhere anymore.
