Meredith, I had surgery for my macular edema. I was expecting immediate results like I had after my cataract surgery, but it didn't happen. The doc has informed me that it takes time for the eye to regain elasticity after the surgery. It has been almost a year, and I think that I am seeing some improvement in my vision. Unfortunately, I now have it in my other eye so I guess I will have to get that one fixed, too.
I've been diagnosed with Macular Edema now. There's difference between the two. ON can get better. ME you don't get over!
I was diagnosed with ichemic optic neuropathy / I am blind in my left eye and have been so for four years
I have just been diagnosed with Occipital Neuralgia. It's very painful and I believe it's from the MS. Going to the pain clinic to see if they can help. I don't want to take more drugs.
I've not been, but I've been wondering about it. Lately I've have been getting suspicious headaches with pain in one eye that last for 3 and 4 days. Even with ibuprofen and tizanadine I still wake up to find it's there.
