I had (have permanent damage now) Bell's Palsey. It can come on all of a sudden and most people clear up in 7-10 days (most people). If you caught it soon enough, they might put you on a steroid, but basically it was a waiting game. Unfortunately, the damage to that nerve (7th I think) was permanent. I have gained back some function of that side of my face over the years but it is still visible. I would definitely talk to your near because it could be something else.
I had this in December on left side - this is gradually going away. I try to make up for it by smiling.
