What's the difference in primary and secondary progressive MS?

Actually they have joined prms with ppms @A MyMSTeam Member. The model has changed.
PPMS comes with much less inflammation from the beginning @meisse. And there may still be relapses and inflammation with SPMS, so steroids may still help.

I was upgraded to SPMS 4 years ago. I am currently on Rituxan. I notice a great improvement soon after dosing. Infuse every 6 months. As time approaches the next dose I can tell the diifference. It is strange to look forward to an infusion!

I have progressive secondary multiple sclerosis and my doctor told that that was the end of the line not much they can do for me :-(
